GK Chesterton, English writer and poet, said, “When people stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing, they’ll believe anything.”

Central to a belief in God is hope. When people let go of hope they give in to despair and self indulgence.

Your enemy, the devil, is hard at work killing your hope. He tempts you to do the wrong thing and then condemns you when you give in. A vicious cycle begins. He whispers things like, “How could a loving God allow this (fill in the blank) in your life?”

Refuse to stop hoping. Believe that Christ came not just so you can live eternally but so you might have a good life here on earth. Never give up.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10
