You can achieve about anything you want, if you are willing to sacrifice for it. Sacrifice hurts. It costs you. Fear of failure keeps many from ever trying.

What opportunity is God offering that you are missing out of fear?

God had promised the Israelites that he would give them a land of their own; a land flowing with milk and honey. It took them a very long time to get there because they kept getting off track and defying God. Finally, they reached the gateway to the promised land.

Scouts from among the people were sent out to assess what the land contained. They found giants, such as the Amelkites, Hittites, and many other fearsome people. They also found fruit unlike anything imaginable including enormous grape clusters, pomegranates, and figs.

The beauty and bounty of the land did not outweigh their fear of the giants. All but two of the scouts told the people it was too dangerous, too impossible. As a result, all of the people, except the two who wanted to press on, died in the desert just outside the promised land.

This story offers powerful lessons for you. The giants represent your fears. The fruit represents your potential. “Harvesting” your fruit comes with a price. There will be giants. But if God has called you, he will go with you.
